I’ve shared the initial steps of buying a rental property- Step 1 Determining Your Criteria, Step 2 Define Your Viewpoint, Step 3 Meet Weekly, Step 4 Delegate Tasks, Step 5 Communicate Regularly, and Step 6 Receive Info From Your Realtor . Let’s dive right into Step 7!
Let’s continue with Step 7 – Communicate Your Needs to Your Realtor
- Be sure to communicate with your agent often and ask thorough questions
- When talking to your agent about a specific property, ask them to call the listing agent and find out what it would take for them to accept your offer TODAY
- Stop chasing the new house that was just listed yesterday; More often than not, you will end up either heartbroken or paying way over its asking price
- Your best bet is to look at the properties that have a higher Days on Market and find yourself a diamond in the rough
- Only go after properties where the seller wants to sell just as bad as you want to buy

I recently came across an article that discussed 4 predictions on housing prices this year. As the article states, it’s highly unlikely that housing prices will drastically decrease, rather it may be beginning to stabilize. If you’d like to hear more about this, check out my article here!
